Job Title: Stores Assistant
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Hours: Full Time – Primarily 8:30am–4:30pm, including daily Goods Bay cover (1:30pm–4:30pm) and break cover (10:00am–10:30am). Flexibility required to work Goods Bay shifts (5:30am–1:30pm) to cover annual leave and absence.

The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and organised Stores Assistant to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team.

This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and replenishment of stock across The London Clinic. You will play a key role in ensuring clinical and non-clinical departments receive the supplies they need to deliver outstanding patient care.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help manage stock levels, process replenishment orders, support goods-in activities, and maintain accurate inventory records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Good basic level of education, including English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience working within a stores, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, or supply chain environment
  • Knowledge of stock replenishment, stock rotation, stocktaking, and returns processes
  • Good organisational skills and a logical approach to work
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work to deadlines
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customers
  • A flexible and reliable approach to work
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and service delivery

Desirable:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
  • NVQ Level 3 in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification
  • Experience within a healthcare, hospital, or clinical environment
  • Experience working with stock control systems or inventory management software
  • Knowledge of purchasing procedures
  • Experience in a busy, time-critical logistics or supply chain environment
  • Knowledge of medical or surgical products and associated terminology
  • Experience monitoring and progressing orders through the supply chain
